Структура на френския футбол
В следствие на приетата през 2015 териториална реформа в страната Френската футболна федерация реорганизира своите лиги, за да спазва държавните директиви, което предизвиква преустройство на пирамидалната структура на футболните лиги във Франция от сезон 2017-2018. По настоящем тя изглежда по следния начин:
- На върха на пирамидата се намира Лига 1 – най-висшият ешелон, в който взимат участие 20 клуба с професионален статут;
- Лига 2 преставлява намиращата се с едно ниво по-надолу дивизия, която също е съставена от 20 клуба с професионален статус;
- Насионал е третият етаж отгоре надолу, като клубовете там са 18, от които между 3 и 6 са професионални и респективно между 12 и 15 – аматьорски;
- Следващият пласт е Насионал 2, който е разделен на четири групи (A, B, C и D), като всяка от тях наброява 16 аматьорски клуба;
- Насионал 3 обхваща 12 регионални групи с по 14 клуба с аматьорски статус;
- По-нататък откриваме 13 дивизии Режионал 1 , всяка от които наброява от 1 до 3 групи с по 12-14 аматьорски клуба (организирани от всяка респективна Регионална лига);
- Под шестото ниво на френския футбол йерархията на шампионатите на 13-те Регионални лиги варират в зависимост от областта, като в някои местности достигат дори до ниво 18.
